Cyril Lignac’s culinary career was definitely influenced by his childhood in Aveyron, a hub of French gourmet culture in south-central France.
The chef recalls wonderful recollections of joyous family meals and the moment he realized how much he enjoyed cooking and sharing that pleasure.
As a teenager, it was natural for him to want to work in the restaurant industry.
He began his professional career as a patissier, ice-cream maker, chocolatier, and chef before honing his craft and learning from renowned Michelin-star chefs and patissiers such as Nicole Fagegaltier, Alain Passard, the Pourcel brothers, and Pierre Hermé.
His gourmet taste and strong technique now integrate both his appreciation of French culinary heritage and his interest about the abundance of international cuisines.
