Principal Package Management Specialist Job Overview
The Principal Package Management Specialist is responsible for managing project packages from initiation through completion. The role combines technical expertise, commercial knowledge, leadership, and project management skills to ensure packages are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (QHSES) requirements.
This position requires proactive risk management, strategic planning, supplier coordination, stakeholder communication, and executive-level reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
As a Principal Package Management Specialist, your responsibilities include:
- Manage engineering, procurement, and subcontract packages from start to finish.
- Deliver packages within approved budgets and project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with QHSES and contractual requirements.
- Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor package costs, commitments, forecasts, and schedule performance.
- Coordinate with Project Controls for cost and schedule alignment.
- Review purchase orders, technical evaluations, and supplier documentation.

Required Qualifications
