About This Fleet Technical Superintendent Job in Dubai
In this Fleet Technical Superintendent Job in Dubai, you will be responsible for managing fleet repairs, maintenance, and technical operations in a cost-effective and efficient manner. You will oversee vessel performance, coordinate with procurement teams, and ensure all technical activities are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage dockings, surveys, upgrades, and vessel maintenance projects
- Oversee breakdowns, technical incidents, and fleet repairs
- Coordinate with procurement for sourcing spare parts and services
- Prepare technical specifications and project documentation
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and schedules
- Liaise with shipyards, contractors, and OEM service providers
- Support insurance claims and technical reporting processes
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards
- Maintain Planned Maintenance Systems (NS5)
- Travel to vessels/sites to support operations when required
Requirements and Qualifications
- Marine Engineering Class 1 or relevant engineering degree
- Minimum 5–10 years of technical superintendent or marine experience
- Experience in offshore vessels or dry docking operations
- Strong knowledge of Class Societies (ABS, DNV, BV)
- Expertise in Planned Maintenance Systems (AMOS, NS5)
- Technical drawing and CAD knowledge preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
