Bradburn excited to work with Pakistan pacer again at Glamorgan

Glamorgan’s new coach, Grant Bradburn, expressed his excitement about the team’s upcoming season opener at Lord’s against Middlesex.

Glamorgan’s bowling lineup will see a transformation, with debutant Mir Hamza from Pakistan stepping in to fill the void left by Michael Neser, who has moved to Hampshire.

Bradburn, who previously worked with Hamza during his tenure with Pakistan as head coach, praises the bowler’s skills and character.

“It’s exciting to catch up with Mir Hamza again, he’s a wonderful human being and I know he’s going to love it here, he’s a very skillful bowler,” said Bradburn.

The 31-year-old Hamza has represented Pakistan in five Test matches. With a stellar track record boasting 434 wickets in first-class cricket at an average of just over 22, coupled with commendable T20 statistics, the left-arm pacer emerges as a formidable addition to Glamorgan’s arsenal.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming stint with Glamorgan, Hamza stated, “I am thrilled to be joining Glamorgan for the County Championship this summer.”

“It will be exciting to work with Grant Bradburn again after working with him with Pakistan, and I can’t wait to join up with the squad, get to training, and help this great club push for a positive start to the season,” he added.
