Pakistan-origin Briton Sadiq Khan is likely to clinch the London mayor’s slot for a record third time as sources affiliated with the Labour party claimed Saturday that polls results pour in their favour.
London witnessed the mayoral election today (Saturday), with Khan being in a winning position after early results suggested a swing from the Conservatives and Susan Hall to Labour, The Telegraph reported.
As per the report, the two-time mayor emerged triumphant in the West Central constituency, securing 54,481 votes compared to Hall’s 43,405.
