Rain-windstorms, thunderstorms predicted in parts of country

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain-windstorms and thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms in the upper parts while dry weather with gusty winds was expected elsewhere in the country.

A new spell of downpours is likely to hit isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), upper and central Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Kashmir in the next 12 hours to 18 hours, according to the weather forecast.

On Wednesday, dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while gusty winds/windstorms are likely in southern parts. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Mithi at 42°C, Thatta, Dadu and Chhor at 41°C.

However, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain-thunderstorms is likely at isolated places in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

According to the weather forecast for the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with more intermittent rain and wind with thunderstorms is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula, Radio Pakistan reported.

Kashmir

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
