Job Description
The Physical Education Teacher jobs will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate fitness and sports lessons to students. This includes creating a dynamic classroom environment that supports student participation, teamwork, and healthy living. The ideal candidate will apply the SABIS® Point System, maintain discipline, and contribute to the overall physical development of the school community.
You will also take part in school life beyond the gym—assisting with sporting events, student clubs, and health-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver physical education classes using SABIS® lesson plans or custom plans based on provided pacing charts

Promote fitness fundamentals, sport-specific skills, and health education across all grade levels

Manage classroom behavior using the SABIS® Point System

Prepare, mark, and evaluate student assessments as assigned

Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal fitness goals

Support students struggling with physical challenges or motivation

Supervise students during PE, lunch, bus duty, or other times as needed

Substitute for absent teachers when required

Coordinate with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC) on school activities and student-led sports programs

Proctor school exams and maintain discipline in testing environments

Attend teacher training sessions to improve instruction and adherence to the SABIS® model

Education & Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field
