Your day spans from requesting and comparing freight quotations to confirming bookings, issuing shipping instructions, and monitoring MT Releases (empty container releases) to prevent delays. You’ll also arrange local pickups, track inbound vessels, and communicate status updates proactively to internal teams. When plans shift, you’ll suggest alternate routes, schedules, or modes—always balancing speed, cost, and reliability. Key Responsibilities
Freight Coordination & Booking

Coordinate with Sales and Operations on all upcoming confirmed outbound shipments.

Request quotations from multiple freight forwarders based on container/truck size, transit time, and price—provide at least three competitive quotes for comparison.

Share rates and transit time feedback with Sales and secure confirmation to proceed.

Confirm bookings with selected forwarders and request MT Release to start the process.

Issue Shipping Instructions (Ship To, Consignee details) promptly and accurately.
