The Leidos Army Intelligence information technology Environment Support (ARIES) program, which is part of the Leidos Defense group, is looking for a Network Administrator to support US Army Central G2. The ARIES G2 Army MI Enterprise provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems as well as network administration support for an organization comprised mostly of a Microsoft Enterprise software environment residing on multiple networks.
The Network Administrator will be part of a dynamic team supporting customers throughout the ARCENT Area of Responsibility including both U.S. and coalition personnel. This is a deployed position located at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting of network and connectivity issues with network devices on multiple LANs, and coordinate troubleshooting on Tier 0 WAN circuits to ensure mission critical operations continue across the AOR
Install, maintain, and/or repair network infrastructure (i.e., Panduit, conduit, and/or terminating CAT5/6 or fiber).
Advise government customers on COMSEC duties and serve as COMSEC custodian as needed; understand US DoD COMSEC rules, policies, and regulations.
Comment on system changes through Configuration Control Boards (CCB) or similar tools.
Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements.
Assist Service Desk Technicians and System Administrators with Tier I and Tier II troubleshooting, as needed.
Participate in special projects and day‐to‐day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead, including surging to alternate locations for customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications
The selected candidate must be willing to live and work in the State of Kuwait or forward deploy to austere locations as directed, and follow all corporate and local site policies and host nation laws, customs, and courtesies
Bachelors degree and 2-4 years of related experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience resolving Tier I and II hardware, software and application issues (printer, basic network (LAN) , scheduling & troubleshooting video tele-conferences (VTCs)
Knowledge of LAN switching, including Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations.
Understanding of Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and best practices on implementation.
Experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco‐based local‐area networks using various encryption devices; be able to document the network (such as with Visio)
Ability to install, configure, and maintain encryption devices (KG‐175D, KG-250x, KG-175G, etc.) at network points of presence and to extend networks throughout the local and regional areas, including management via GEM-X.
Understanding of Cisco WAN, LAN, and Data Center design practices, technologies and implementations.
Experience with network-based monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Whats up Gold, etc).
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco VTC devices and VoIP phones.
Working knowledge of Active Directory Users & Computers, security groups and NTFS permissions, Cisco network/LAN principles, MS Windows 10, MS Office, desktop & laptop hardware, etc.
Active 8570 IAT II (or higher) Baseline Certification, such as: Security+|ce.
Active one of the Computing Environment certifications, such as: CCNA or MCSA:Win10, etc.
Current US Passport with at least 36 months validity and 5 blank pages left.
Security Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret SCI.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Computing Environment certs include: CCNP: R&S or CCDP
Pay Range
Pay Range $54,600.00 – $84,000.00 – $113,400.00

The Field Service Technician will perform maintenance, training, and work
closely with military customers. This position desires an individual who has experience performing mechanical and electronics, on
both the radiation and Backscatter technology systems as well as skills performing installs, de-installs, testing systems and
components, and performing Preventive Maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Non-Intrusive Inspection
Systems. The successful candidate may be assigned supervisor duties to manage the day-to-day operations of their area or operations
and or other technicians. OCONUS travel will be required to other OCONUS locations.

 Must be capable of performing analyses of system operations
 Must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components
 Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components
 Must be capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing,
and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading of electronic circuit
schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards
 Performs sustainment and PMCS maintenance on the system and vehicle chassis
 Performs site surveys to determine type and placement of systems
 Installs and de-installs systems and their components and trains operators and end users
 Updates databases, informs Lead of job status and any issues encountered
 Tracks and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts component serial numbers removed and replaced
 May travels via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas
 Skilled using hand tools, power tools, and electronics measuring and test equipment
 Ability to perform minor maintenance on vehicles and generators such as changing oil and filter
 Must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports
 Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and
peers
 Must be able to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere
environment
 Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week
 Possesses a US passport that will not expire for at least 2 or more years and must have at least 4 consecutive blank pages for
country visas
 Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations
 Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

 BA/BS plus 5-8 + years relevant experience (12 years’ experience in lieu of a degree)
 Radiation Safety Certification Required
 US Secret security clearance required
YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE
 Relevant and recent experience supporting Force Protection systems is highly desirable
 Experience with Radiation and Backscatter systems
 Experience with other PM FPS Systems to include BETSS-C, Cerberus, Scout, IBD-K, and RDISS
 Ability to train operators in the use and maintenance of NIIS systems
 Experience utilizing COLTS and operating within the GCSS-A environment
 Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
 Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience
 Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high-quality environment
 Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer service
 Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail
