American International University (AIU) in Kuwait City is hiring a qualified and experienced Nurse to join its medical team. Reporting to the Medical Doctor, the University Nurse will oversee student health services, provide direct nursing care, and promote health awareness within the AIU community. Job Summary

As a University Nurse, you will play a key role in maintaining the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Your primary responsibilities include health assessments, medical assistance, emergency care, and health education. You will also be responsible for managing health records, administering medications, and coordinating medical events such as health fairs and screenings.

This role requires an individual with strong clinical skills, the ability to provide health education, and excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and university staff.

Key Responsibilities

Health Services & Patient Care

• Provide first aid, emergency care, and nursing services to students and staff.
• Assess student health conditions, identify health concerns, and refer patients for further medical evaluation if necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure compliance with university health protocols.
• Provide counseling on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and personal hygiene.
• Manage chronic health conditions among students and provide personalized health plans.

Health Program Management

• Plan and organize annual health events, including dental, vision, and hearing screenings.
• Implement vaccination programs and administer booster shots as per regulations.
• Maintain a well-stocked and sanitized university clinic with necessary medical supplies.

Collaboration & Health Education

• Work closely with faculty, administration, and parents to promote student wellness.
• Conduct health education workshops on topics such as hygiene, mental health, and disease prevention.
• Assist in pre-university medical screenings and interpret health requirements for new students.
• Act as a health resource for students, staff, and parents, offering guidance on infection control and communicable diseases.

Emergency Response & Crisis Management

• Act as a first responder in case of medical emergencies on campus.
• Participate in the university crisis response team, providing medical intervention when required.
• Maintain confidentiality of student health records and medical information.
