Looks like National Football League (NFL) star Aaron Rodgers might end up working two jobs this year after independent presidential candidate Robert Francis Kennedy (RFK) Jr added him to his list of “potential running mate”.

The New York Jets quarterback is currently busy working on his health after returning to his team’s practice sessions from his Achilles injury as he prepares for the 2024 NFL season.

Meanwhile, Rodgers has also been named a potential candidate to be RFK Jr’s presidential running mate, Fox News Digital reported after a representative for RFK Jr confirmed the announcement.

According to the New York Times, the four-time NFL MVP “welcomed” the idea.

The 70-year-old nephew of former US president John F Kennedy, is the fifth member of his family to seek the presidency of the United States and is competing as an independent candidate.

He has promoted anti-vaccine commentary, similar to Rodgers, who claimed that the vaccine involves an ingredient he is allergic to.

Rodgers has been loud and clear about his support for Kennedy.

He even expressed that he would like to be in a tag-team match partnering with “my man” Kennedy against Dr Anthony Fauci and “Mr Pfizer” Travis Kelce.

The 40-year-old quarterback has shown his support for Kennedy several times including the time he wrote “#kennedy2024” on his Instagram story.

Rodgers called Kennedy’s “State of Our Union” video on X, formerly known as Twitter, “presidential.”

However, Rodgers isn’t the only person who made the cut.

Former World Wrestling Entertainment star and Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura was also on Kennedy’s list for potential vice president.
