Promoting their upcoming film Umro Ayyar – A New Beginning, VR Chili Production released the Umro Ayyar Comic Book at WonderCon held at the Anaheim Convention Centre in California, according to an Instagram post by the production company.
“Umro Ayyar Comic Book Launched at WonderCon! Step into a world where mystery and valor collide in the realm of legends. Join us on this epic journey as we breathe new life into a beloved literary hero,” read the caption of the post.
The panel representing the Umro Ayyar team at WonderCon consisted of film director Azfar Jafri, executive producer Huma Jamil Babar, and actors Ali Kazmi and Faran Tahir. The team provided insights into their film to critics and those attending WonderCon. Along with the comic book, a trailer for the upcoming film was also released.
In a separate Instagram post, VR Chilli Production wrote, “Umro Ayyar – A New Beginning is set to make waves in the world of cinema, creating a new chapter in Pakistani filmmaking and cementing its place on the international stage.”
Much to the disappointment of fans, the long-awaited trailer is yet to make an appearance on YouTube. Directed by Jafri and written by Atif Siddique, Umro Ayyar – A New Beginning is due to be released on Eidul Azha later this year. Starring Usman Mukhtar, Tahir, and Sanam Saeed, the film is based on Umro Ayyar in the classical Urdu-Persian novel Hamzanama.
