Taylor Swift’s much-awaited eleventh album Tortured Poets Department is a few weeks away and the pop icon is leaving a reminder for Swifties to preorder the album via her lucky number.
Taking to Instagram, the Grammy winner shared a clip of a typewriter typing, “13 days until THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT,” while she attached a link to preorder.
Speaking of Taylor’s lucky number, SiriusXM has eyed to cash in on the megastar craze by opening a channel focusing on her titled Channel 13.
“The 13th day of the channel, Friday, April 19, coincides with the release of Taylor Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department,” the network statement said.
“Channel 13 (Taylor’s Version) will be playing the full album beginning to end continuously throughout the weekend.”
In a previous chat with the Jay Leno, Taylor explained why the number is lucky for her.
“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. Also, my first song that ever went Number One, it had a 13-second intro, and I didn’t do it on purpose,” she told the host in 2009.
Nonetheless, Taylor is promoting her forthcoming album with great fervour.
“I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way. So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19,” the year-old revealed at the Grammy Awards.
“It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m gonna go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you. I love you. Thank you.”
