Former president Donald Trump rejected the interpretation of his opponents regarding his remarks about a “blood bath” if he was not reelected in the upcoming presidential election, and warned of economic consequences Monday.

During a rally in Dayton, Ohio, Donald Trump said Saturday: “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath. That’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”

The 77-year-old wrote on his social media platform: “The Fake News Media, and their Democrat Partners in the destruction of our Nation, pretended to be shocked at my use of the word BLOODBATH, even though they fully understood that I was simply referring to imports allowed by ‘Crooked’ Joe Biden, which are killing the automobile industry.”

Trump’s bizarre comment during the rally was unclear but it came as he complained about the automobile industry. He then threatened China to ban imports of vehicles into the US if he is re-elected.

The business mogul wrote on Truth Social: “The United Auto Workers, but not their leadership, fully understand what I mean.”

“With the Electric Car Mandate being pushed by Biden, there soon won’t be any cars made in the USA – UNLESS I’M ELECTED PRESIDENT, IN WHICH CASE AUTO MANUFACTURING WILL THRIVE LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!!”

His comments went viral over the weekend and were heavily criticied by his opponents saying that Trump called for violence if he lost the election.

“It’s clear this guy wants another January 6,” President Joe Biden wrote on X — formerly known as Twitter.

“But the American people are going to give him another resounding electoral defeat this November.”
