Requirements and Responsibilities of Cook: CEVAPI RESTAURANT

Requirements:

1. Culinary Skills: Proven experience as a cook or chef, with a strong understanding of various cooking techniques and methods. Knowledge of traditional Balkan cuisine is a plus.
2. Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
3. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately, ensuring that dishes are prepared with precision and consistency.
4. Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
5. Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different kitchen stations and adapt to changing menus, ingredients, and customer preferences.
6. Physical Stamina: The role may involve long periods of standing, lifting heavy objects, and working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, including cutting, marinating, and seasoning meats, vegetables, and other components according to recipes and instructions.

Requirements:

1. Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to guests. Ability to anticipate and fulfill customer needs.
2. Knowledge of Food and Beverage: Familiarity with the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials. Ability to make recommendations and answer customer inquiries about the dishes and beverages.
3. Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with other staff members, including kitchen staff and management, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
4. Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately take orders, note special requests, and ensure correct delivery of food and beverages. Attention to detail in setting tables and arranging table settings.

5. Upselling and Promotions: Familiarize guests with additional menu items, promotions, or specialty beverages to increase sales and enhance the guest experience.
6. Payment Handling: Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and operating POS systems. Ensure the correct amount is charged and provide appropriate change or receipt.
7. Table Maintenance: Monitor tables to ensure they are clean, properly set, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., napkins, utensils, condiments).
