Amazing Milky Way Black Hole:
A black hole is formed when stars collide, they create a gap in the cosmos with an escape velocity – the speed at which an item must travel to overcome the gravitational influence of a planet or another object.
For example, a spaceship must move at a speed of almost 40,000 kilometers per hour to leave the Earth’s surface, which is so fast that even light cannot escape it.
Milky Way Black Hole: The first image of the supermassive black hole located at the center of the Milky Way around 26,000 light years from Earth has been released by astronomers with the help of the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT).
The first direct visible evidence of Sagittarius A* (pronounced sage-ay-star) comes in the form of a black hole picture. The new image depicts light being warped by the black hole’s massive gravity, which is four million times greater than that of our Sun.
