Job Description:

Aluminum Company requires external sales representative

The External Sales Representative in aluminum company plays a vital role in promoting and selling aluminum products for an aluminum manufacturing company to external clients. This position involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, identifying sales opportunities, providing product information, and achieving sales targets. The External Sales Representative serves as the face of the aluminum company, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the company’s growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Aluminum Company External Sales

  1. Business Development:
    • Identify and target potential customers in the assigned market segment or geographical area.
    • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
    • Generate leads and establish new business relationships through networking, cold calling, and prospecting.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies and promotional materials to support sales efforts.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
    • Understand customers’ needs, requirements, and budgets to provide suitable aluminum product solutions.
    • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features, benefits, and quality of the company’s aluminum products.
    • Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Sales and Revenue Generation:
    • Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company.
    • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential customers.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with customers to secure sales orders.
    • Follow up on leads, quotes, and opportunities to convert them into sales.

  4. Market Intelligence and Reporting:
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
    • Provide regular sales reports, including sales performance, pipeline updates, and forecasts.
    • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase market share.
    • Gather customer feedback and relay it to the relevant departments within the organization for continuous product and service improvement.
  5. Industry Events and Networking:
    • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to represent the company and expand the customer base.
    • Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and market opportunities.
    • Build a strong professional network within the industry to foster partnerships and collaborations.


Aluminum Company External Sales

  • Proven experience in external sales, preferably in the aluminum or building materials industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of aluminum products, their applications, and the construction industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport and build relationships with customers.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good organizational and follow-up skills to track leads, quotes, and sales opportunities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools for lead management and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as required.
  • A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for customer visits.
