Job Description

The Assistant Manager, Trade Operations will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of trade finance transactions for domestic and international clients. You will play a central role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution across key trade services such as:

  • Letters of Credit (LCs)

  • Collections and Bills for Collection

  • Guarantees and Standby LCs

  • Supply Chain and Structured Trade Finance

In this role, you’ll also support strategic initiatives such as digitization, automation, and process improvement, while acting as a key point of contact for customer service and interdepartmental coordination.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Execution: Process letters of credit, guarantees, collections, and loans per internal policies and external regulations

  • Service Delivery: Ensure all trade transactions are completed within SLAs and turnaround benchmarks

  • Risk & Compliance: Adhere to AML, sanctions, and operational risk frameworks while verifying all transactions

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and correspondent banks to resolve issues quickly

  • Process Improvement: Contribute to trade digitization, automation, and best practice implementations

  • Documentation: Maintain clean, audit-ready records and follow Group policy for compliance

  • Authorization: Verify transactions within delegated limits and ensure risk exposure is properly assessed

  • Reporting: Monitor transaction volumes, flag anomalies, and report metrics to the Senior Manager, Trade Services

Education & Training
