Job Description – Senior Accountant (Feb-2025) – Kuwait
A reputed company in Kuwait is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role requires a skilled professional with strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting, particularly in the salons and health spa industry. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting business growth through strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss reports, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with Kuwait’s financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Handle budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
✅ Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable.
- Process payroll, tax calculations, and other financial obligations.
✅ Audit & Compliance
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Implement financial controls to minimize risk and fraud.
- Ensure tax compliance and timely submission of financial reports.
✅ System & Process Optimization
- Work with accounting systems and software to enhance efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
- Provide training and guidance to junior accountants, if needed.
Job Requirements:
✔ Experience: 5-7 years in accounting, specifically within salons and health spas.
✔ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory).
✔ Language Skills: Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
✔ Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting systems and financial software.
✔ Other Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be currently residing in Kuwait with a transferable visa.
