Cemex UAE is a global leader in the building materials industry, dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in construction solutions. We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Ready-Mix Plant Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Dubai.

Position Overview:

The Ready-Mix Plant Maintenance Supervisor will work directly under the Maintenance Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. The role focuses on maintaining plant equipment, ensuring workplace safety, and contributing to operational excellence in compliance with Cemex’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Compliance:
• Ensure all machines and personnel operate in a safe environment following Cemex HSE policies and standards.
• Maintenance Management:
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans and programs.
• Supervise execution of maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Technical Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose and address technical breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Shutdown & Upgrades:
• Plan and manage plant shutdowns, major equipment replacements, and upgrade projects.
• Inventory Management:
• Ensure availability of spare parts and maintenance materials, creating purchase requisitions as needed.
• External Services:
• Plan, supervise, and approve external repair services, ensuring quality through acceptance tests.
• Resource Allocation:
• Manage manpower allocation across shifts to balance departmental performance with production demands.
• Tool & Equipment Management:
• Control and maintain maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a similar role, preferably in the Ready-Mix or heavy manufacturing industry.

Technical Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Experience in industrial refrigeration systems, such as ice plants and chillers.
• Proficiency in CMMS and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Strong understanding of control and instrumentation systems in industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in English (knowledge of Hindi and Arabic is advantageous).

Personal Attributes:

• Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with urgency and minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong presentation and reporting skills.
