Matrimonial or dating sites for people are some of the most commonly visited places on the web. Now, a new matrimonial website has been developed, which does not cater to humans, but their pets.

As per reports, the website is known as Vetigo. It aims to find suitable partners or mates for the breeding of pet dogs. More reports state that it is a part of the Student Innovative Project of the Veterinary University, Mannuthy, in Thrissur, Kerala.

The man behind the innovative site is Abin Joy, who is a student in the course of BVSc at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, at the institution. According to reports, the project’s first phase received funding of Rs 1.5 lakh, while also being supported by the state government’s Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council or K-DISC. The organisation’s main task is to find innovative solutions to real-life problems.

In the first phase of the project, the website domain was acquired and then it was launched. The web creation is in process while registrations have started. As per reports, the website will display the basic information about the pets like breed, sex, age, weight, vaccination information as well as the details of the owner. The owners can also include the Kennel Club of India number if they have registered under it. The developers have sent an application for the funding of the project’s second phase. To log in to the website, the users can visit its official link, https://vet-igo.in/.

They aim to not only include dogs but also avail it for the cats in the future. The developer Abin Joy told the media portal Deccan Chronicle that a veterinary consultation facility through online mode will be made available for the owners. Till now, around 50 pet registrations have been made by the users. According to Joy, they expect more registrations once its publicity accelerates. At the moment, the service is being provided for free.
