Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials died in a helicopter crash in the country’s East Azerbaijan province, Iran’s state-run Press TV reported. The chopper crashed Sunday in thick fog, and search teams struggled for hours in mountainous terrain and poor weather.
