Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Operational Maintenance

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance Units to troubleshoot, repair, and document electrical system performance.
  • Advise design, construction, and maintenance engineers on operational safety, system troubleshooting, and electrical equipment management.
  • Conduct failure analysis on electrical components and establish corrective and preventive action plans.

Design, Conceptual Planning & Facility Upgrades

  • Develop conceptual engineering plans, work scopes, technical calculations, and detailed specifications for facility upgrades and new installations.
  • Review Project Proposals and Detailed Design packages for incoming facility projects.
  • Participate in facility commissioning, field installation, testing, and Turnaround & Inspection (T&I) activities.

System Calculations, Studies & Energy Efficiency

  • Perform electrical system calculations, including grounding/earthing, transformer sizing, cable sizing, battery sizing, lighting, and load schedules.
  • Execute power system studies using industry software (such as ETAP) for short circuit, load flow, motor starting, arc flash hazard, and relay coordination analyses.
  • Evaluate facility performance to identify energy-saving initiatives, pilot innovative technologies, and optimize existing operating schemes.

Compliance, Safety & Project Mentorship

  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, single-line diagrams, protection/metering schemes, and hazardous area classification drawings.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines and corporate engineering standards.
  • Conduct feasibility and economic studies to support Aramco’s capital investment decisions.
  • Train, develop, and mentor junior electrical engineers within the department.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
