Job Purpose

The ESG Governance Auditor is responsible for independently assessing safety governance systems, compliance programs, and audit assurance activities across EGA’s high-risk industrial operations. The role ensures compliance with international standards, UAE regulations, corporate policies, and ESG governance requirements while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

Governance and Compliance Audits

The successful candidate will conduct independent audits covering:

  • Lost Time Injury (LTI) investigations
  • High Potential Near Miss (HPNM) cases
  • Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audits
  • Task Risk Assessment (TRA) audits
  • Permit to Work (PTW) quality verification
  • PTW system audits
  • Near Miss investigations
  • Fatality action plan verification
  • First-party audit system reviews
  • Compliance assurance activities

Regulatory Compliance

The ESG Governance Auditor will assess compliance with:

Preferred certifications include:

  • Licensed Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Expert recognized by UAE Civil Defense.
  • NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management.
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
  • Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS®).

Experience Requirements
