NDT Tech Job Overview
The NDT Tech is responsible for conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections on welds and materials using approved inspection methods and internationally recognized standards. The role involves identifying defects, evaluating inspection results, preparing accurate reports, and working closely with Quality Control (QC) inspectors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality, safety, and reliability throughout engineering and construction operations.
Key Responsibilities
As an NDT Tech, your responsibilities include:
- Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections.
- Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (UT) examinations.
- Carry out Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
- Perform Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Inspect welds and materials according to project specifications.
- Evaluate inspection results based on international codes and standards.
- Identify acceptable and non-conforming welds.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with QC inspectors on repair verification.
- Re-inspect rectified welds using approved NDT procedures.
- Ensure compliance with project NDT plans and quality requirements.
- Follow approved inspection procedures and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
Candidates applying for the NDT Tech position should have:
- Engineering Degree or High School Diploma.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Radiographic Testing (RT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- ASNT or CSWIP certification.
- Qualification under internationally recognized certification schemes such as:
- PCN

- Strong understanding of NDT procedures and inspection standards.
