Key Responsibilities
As a Testing Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform assembly, repair, and routine testing of GIS bays and related components.
- Conduct mechanical, 10KV, high-voltage (HV), functional, and resistance tests.
- Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, checklists, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Complete production work packages accurately and on schedule.
- Perform self-inspections and document test results.
- Ensure high product quality while meeting production timelines.
- Identify quality issues and escalate non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for product failures.
- Gather feedback from Local Service Center (LSC) engineers for product improvements.
- Collaborate with assembly, logistics, and production teams.
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure regular calibration.
- Follow safety, environmental, housekeeping, and recycling standards.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy’s safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in laboratory or electrical testing activities.
- Experience in GIS or high-voltage equipment testing.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and material lists.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
