Key Responsibilities
As an HSE Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Implement and maintain Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems.
- Conduct workplace risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Lead permit-to-work (PTW) implementation and monitor high-risk activities.
- Perform safety inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses while implementing corrective actions.
- Support emergency preparedness, drills, and response planning.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor hazardous waste handling and pollution prevention measures.
- Deliver HSE induction programs, safety training, and toolbox talks.
- Track HSE KPIs and prepare compliance reports.
- Promote continuous improvement and a proactive safety culture.
- Support contractor safety management and operational governance.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this HSE Advisor role, candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH certification or equivalent HSE qualification.
- Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of occupational safety regulations.
- Practical experience in Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence teams and promote safe work practices.
- Good computer and reporting skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred Skills
