Responsibilities Section

Officer Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities

Implement occupational health and safety policies, systems, and procedures in accordance with Dubai Government regulations and approved organizational standards
Monitor updates to health and safety legislation and ensure organizational compliance
Identify workplace hazards and evaluate occupational risks across facilities and operational locations
Recommend and implement preventive and corrective actions to minimize workplace risks
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, centers, and community councils to verify compliance with safety requirements
Prepare inspection reports and submit findings and recommendations to management
Participate in investigations of workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, and near-miss events
Prepare detailed incident reports identifying root causes and corrective actions

Support emergency preparedness initiatives and evacuation plans
Participate in emergency drills and exercises in coordination with Dubai Civil Defence and relevant authorities
Assist in delivering occupational health and safety awareness programs and employee training sessions
Provide safety guidance to employees, contractors, suppliers, and visitors
Coordinate with government authorities regarding fire safety, first aid equipment, and occupational safety requirements

Educational Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health Sciences, Quality Management, or related field
UAE Nationals only
Proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written)
Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
Understanding of workplace risk assessment methodologies
Ability to conduct safety inspections and compliance audits
