This MEP Estimator Job in Dubai focuses on delivering accurate cost estimations for infrastructure projects, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and a deep understanding of UAE authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents including BOQ, drawings, and specifications to identify risks and gaps
- Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and BMS systems
- Develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure and utility projects
- Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope and constraints
- Ensure compliance with UAE authorities such as DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, and FEWA
- Include authority approval costs such as Trakhees and Civil Defense
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Negotiate pricing for major equipment like chillers, transformers, and generators
- Prepare commercial submissions and support technical evaluations
- Handle post-tender clarifications and approvals
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of UAE experience in MEP estimation (infrastructure preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UAE authority regulations and approval processes
- Experience with tools like PlanSwift, CostX, CCS Candy, or Expert Estimator
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment
