Duties
The incumbent of this position works as a member of a crew in performing routine or special operations, Maintenance and repair of Transmitter plant equipment, electronic systems, telecommunications systems, Electro-Mechanical systems, and facilities.
Operates and maintains complex broadcasting equipment and digital media content transport streams.
Operates and adjusts all master control room equipment as required to ensure optimum program levels and accurate transmitter frequency.
Operates the satellite systems with associated terminal equipment including the state-of-the-art uplink system, antenna, and related systems, and performs scheduled maintenance on the same.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
 
EXPERIENCE:
Three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of electronic communication systems such as radio broadcasting or industrial electronic control systems is required.
Candidates who do not possess the required experience will be disqualified from consideration.
KNOWLEDGE:
Good knowledge of electronic theory as it applies to the maintenance and operation of high-power transmitting systems and satellite systems.
Technical aspects of digital electronics and digital communication techniques.
Knowledge about various hand/power tools and laboratory-type testing/measuring instruments.
Electronics and electrical drawings.
Good working knowledge of computers and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package and internet/email.
Good knowledge of Kuwait laws and regulations in the area of telecommunications.
Must be familiar with the country-to-country agreements as it applies to broadcasting in Kuwait and the Middle East region.
Education Requirements:
EDUCATION:
-Completion of high school education is required; PLUS
-Two-years post high-school vocational training in electronics technology is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: 
English Level 3 – Good working knowledge: speaking. reading & writing.
Language skills will be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 
Proficiency in the use of various hand/power tools and laboratory-type testing/measuring instruments.
Competent in reading electronics and electrical drawings.
Ability and skills to perform maintenance on one or more complex electronic communication systems associated with industrial electronic control systems with multifunction circuitry networks associated with telecommunication or industrial electronic fields.
Good working knowledge of computers and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package and Internet/email.
Qualifications:

* IMPORTANT:  Applicants who claim status as a preference-eligible U.S. Veteran must submit a copy of their most recent DD-214 (“Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty”), equivalent documentation, or certification.  A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on the letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date, and (2) the character of service.  Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
