If you’re looking for UI/UX Design Manager jobs in Dubai 2025 that blend leadership, AI innovation, and measurable business impact, this Puffy role is genuinely rare. You’ll be based in Dubai HQ, reporting directly to the CEO, with ultimate ownership of Puffy’s e-commerce web experience—from homepage and landing pages to PDP, PLP, and checkout.

About the Company

Puffy is an e-commerce brand that’s clearly investing in modern digital execution—speed, experimentation, personalization, and AI-driven customer journeys. The role’s structure (reporting to CEO, owning end-to-end web design, CRO roadmap) signals a company that treats design as a strategic lever, not a decorative layer.

What makes Puffy especially appealing for ambitious design leaders is the mandate: build a data-driven, AI-enabled design function that improves customer experience and drives business outcomes—while also mentoring the team through a significant technology shift.

Job Description

The AI-First UI/UX Design Manager role is built for a leader who can do three things exceptionally well:

  1. Own and elevate e-commerce UX across key journeys (Home, PLP, PDP, Cart/Checkout, editorial pages, and paid landing pages).

  2. Integrate generative AI into the design pipeline—without sacrificing quality, brand consistency, accessibility, or legal safety.

  3. Drive measurable conversion improvements through a structured experimentation roadmap (A/B, multivariate, and fast iteration where appropriate).

This is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of:

  • Design craft (layout, motion, mobile performance, accessibility)

  • Systems thinking (design systems, governance, workflows, QA)

  • Growth impact (CRO, experimentation discipline, business metrics)

  • AI fluency (prompting, variant generation, guardrails, human QA)

In plain terms: you’ll lead a team to ship faster, explore more variants, and build AI-powered shopping surfaces like semantic search and guided shopping/chat—while improving conversion and brand experience.

Job Responsibilities

AI-First Design & Delivery

  • Build AI-powered creative operations using tools like Figma AI and Adobe Firefly to rapidly explore page layouts, hero concepts, PDP modules, and image/copy variants—always with human QA and brand guardrails.

  • Design web experiences that support conversational shopping (natural-language search, guided finders, Q&A on PDPs).

  • Partner with engineering to shape semantic/LLM search UI and modern chat patterns inspired by market leaders.

  • Own the UI patterns for personalization and recommendations, including placement strategy, card density, microcopy, and “why this” explainers to build trust.

  • Collaborate with Growth on experimentation strategy, choosing faster optimization approaches for evergreen surfaces and structured A/B testing for high-stakes changes.

  • Develop and enforce an AI-first workflow designed to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce excessive versioning, with a target of cutting handoff time by 40%.

  • Build a prompt library and review workflow for product copy, FAQs, size/fit guidance, policy explainers, and localization—ensuring brand consistency and legal safety.

  • Embed accessibility practices by baking WCAG 2.2 into the design system and using AI-assisted audits (paired with manual review).

Core Web Design Leadership

  • Transition the design team from sequential work to an agile, collaborative model, with rituals like kickoff huddles to reduce idle time and misalignment.

  • Own end-to-end site and landing page design including IA, wireframes, high-fidelity comps, prototypes, and motion specs.

  • Maintain a scalable design system that supports AI-generated variants while protecting brand consistency and performance metrics like PageSpeed.

  • Create and execute a CRO roadmap using A/B and multivariate tests aimed at lifting add-to-cart conversion.

  • Improve handoff quality using Dev Mode and structured specs; partner tightly with engineering to prevent regressions post-launch.

  • Communicate design decisions and experiment outcomes clearly to the CEO and cross-functional peers, including quarterly roadmap reviews.

Why This Role?

This role is attractive because it combines three things that rarely appear together in one Dubai-based opportunity: CEO-level visibility, AI-first transformation ownership, and clear compensation transparency.

High Compensation and Transparent Range

  • AED 25,000 – AED 35,000/month tax-free, plus up to 10% performance bonus

  • Clear range signals confidence and reduces negotiation ambiguity—helpful for senior candidates

CEO Visibility and Strategic Influence

  • Reporting directly to the CEO means your work is seen, valued, and connected to business priorities

  • You’ll have the authority to implement changes that usually get stuck in approval loops elsewhere

AI-First Mandate With Real Ownership

  • You’re not “encouraged” to use AI—you’re tasked with building the operating system around it

  • The focus is not novelty: it’s speed, quality, and conversion impact

Growth + Craft + Systems (Best Mix for Career Expansion)

  • CRO ownership pushes you into a product-growth leadership lane

  • AI workflows and governance strengthen your leadership narrative for global roles

  • Design system + accessibility + performance builds long-term scalability, not short-term wins

Dubai HQ Advantage

  • Being in HQ accelerates alignment, iteration, and influence across product, engineering, and growth—especially for experimentation-heavy work.

Requirements

To be competitive for UI/UX Design Manager jobs Dubai 2025 in an AI-first setup, you’ll typically need:

  • 7–10 years in web design for e-commerce

  • 4+ years leading, mentoring, and managing design team operations

  • A portfolio showing shipped improvements across PDP/PLP/Checkout tied to clear business metrics

  • Expert-level Figma skills (components, variables, Dev Mode)

  • Strong visual craft, motion sensibility, and responsive design execution

  • Proven experience implementing GenAI tools into a professional design pipeline (prompting, QC, governance, brand guardrails)

  • Familiarity with AI-shaped UX patterns: conversational search, assistant UI, recommendations, and how to measure impact

  • Comfort collaborating with Growth on experimentation, including understanding trade-offs between speed and certainty

  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and SEO fundamentals for structured e-commerce content and schema

  • Preferred: experience designing chat or guided-selling flows
