As the cricket fever spreads across Pakistan with the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), sports commentator Zainab Abbas has been turning heads not only with her insightful analysis but also with her striking fashion statements. Known for her impeccable style, Zainab has been stealing the limelight with her eye-catching blazers and we are so here for it!

1. Fluorescent Pink

Barbie’s release in 2023 has brought a new life to pink. From Ryan Gosling to Yasir Hussain, even men have jumped on the pink bandwagon. However, on the cricket field, Zainab made the opening PSL game her own in a fluorescent pink satin blazer paired with matching pants, adorned with a big festive bow at the waist. With her sleeves casually rolled up and a plain white shirt underneath, the 36-year-old completed the look with simple chunky gold hoops and a high ponytail.

2. Ice Blue

If fluorescent pink is too loud for some, Zainab appears set to use the full force of the colour spectrum. Sighted at another PSL game, she opted for a classic ice blue suit featuring straight pants and a single-button blazer. True to her style, she rolled up the sleeves, adding her signature touch to the ensemble. Her wavy black locks let loose, she accentuated her look with a simple gold and pearl statement necklace. White strappy heels added a touch of sophistication, perfectly coordinating with the white shirt peeking from beneath her blazer.

3. Classic Red

Of course, nothing beats a timeless deep red suit. A bold fashion statement, Zainab donned a deep red three-buttoned blazer and pants with nude heels adding just the right definition to her monochrome ensemble. With her hair slicked back into a chic ponytail, this one might be a trendsetter after a much delightful stint with the Barbie pink.

But is pink just a phase? This PSL season alone has witnessed not one but two pink looks from the fashionista-cum-sports commentator. Enter Zainab’s double-breasted hot pink blazer with chunky lopsided collars. Flaunting soft pink lipstick and a dewy, flushed face, who said the pink wave has to come to a boring end? 

5. Dirty Yellow

This pink might be a sure winner if not for another strong contender for the best of Zainab’s looks this year: the dirty yellow suit. By this point, there is no doubt that her eye for blazers is yet another talent she excels at. A frill collar sitting atop a slim fit blazer, those pants with a slight bell bottom arch are a staple for every wardrobe that wants to border risky without losing elegance.

6. Black and White

For others craving a good ol’ combo, Zainab does not disappoint with her spin on the classic black and white. Packing her hair into a sleek low chignon, she threw in black leather skinnies alongside a plain white V-necked that all came together neatly with a simple hip-length white blazer.
